Reminder! Submit claims within 90 days of your pet’s vet visit
If your pet gets sick or hurt, we know that dealing with insurance will probably not be the first thing on your mind. Still, this is really important to be aware of:
Claims must be submitted within 90 days of your pet’s vet visit to be eligible for reimbursement. If you submit a claim more than 90 days after the date of service, it won’t be covered.

Pet insurance claims FAQs
Why do you need my pet’s medical records?
Medical records from a checkup show us your pet’s medical history and let us see what we can cover, which allows us to process your claim quickly. If you're not sure if you have the right records, ask your vet for “SOAP notes.” The records you receive should include any exam notes and lab results.
What are SOAP notes?
They are detailed medical records from the 12 months before you signed up for Fetch - your vet may refer to them as SOAP notes, and they’re required for us to process your claim.
Where can I see what my policy covers?
You can find all of the details regarding your coverage (including what we can and can’t cover) by logging into your Fetch account and reviewing your policy documents. Not a member yet? You can find more information about what pet insurance covers or view a Fetch Pet Insurance sample policy.
How can I check my claim status?
You can check your pet insurance claim status anytime in the Fetch Pet Insurance app or your online account. We’ll also email you with updates, so keep an eye on your inbox.
What does an annual deductible mean in pet insurance?
Your deductible is the amount of veterinary care you need to pay for yourself each year before we can reimburse you for claims. Choosing a higher deductible will make your price lower, but you'll pay more out of pocket before your insurance begins paying you back. Learn more about pet insurance costs.
