Charleston Animal Society
History
Since 1874, Charleston Animal Society has been on a mission to prevent animal cruelty. Each year, more than 15,000 pets rely on Charleston Animal Society for care, compassion and hope.
Mission
In addition to caring for shelter animals and reuniting lost pets with their families, Charleston Animal Society responds to animals in crisis due to man-made and natural disasters. The shelter vets also spay or neuter upwards of 10,000 dogs and cats each year and provide emergency medical services to critically ill and injured animals.
